Online Volunteering

My surgery went well, so I'll be able to resubmit my medical app in February after I'm fully healed. Meanwhile, I signed up as an online volunteer for NABUUR.

NABUUR is an innovative concept where online volunteers collaborate as "neighbors" of a local community ("village") in a developing country. The neighbors are there to help the villages with projects involving education, environment, community dev't, health, etc. My selected village is in Peru and we're helping to develop international business for their Alpaca products (e.g. sweaters made from Alpaca fleece).

Find other online volunteering opps through the UN Volunteers Programme.

You communicate online with your online neighbors, but tasks are not all online. For example, you could go to the library or attend a convention show to do research. In the end, you decide how much work you want to do.
